The yarn is made by superfine merino wool with the ultra-soft cashmere fibres in a perfect blend to bring out the durability, softness and the bloom. With the right amount of twist, this 2-ply yarn is suitable for using as warp as well as weft in weaving, including Rigid Heddle looms and multi-shaft looms. It is a fine lace weight yarn for hand knitting as well. Excellent hand-feel.

Rigid heddle weavers, our recommendation is to go with 15 DPI reed and use single/ doubled merino-cashmere yarn in weft depending on the ‘airiness’ you want for the shawl. We also made some scarves with mulberry silk yarn in single in the weft and it turned out simply gorgeous!

Please Note: Our merino-cashmere yarns are hand dyed in small batches using professional-grade dyes. No two skeins/cones are exactly the same, which is what makes them special.
For best results, buy enough for your project in one go, and alternate skeins as you knit or crochet to blend the natural variations. Some colors, especially richer shades, may release a little extra dye in the first wash. This is normal. Always hand wash gently in cool water with mild wool soaps and dry flat.
