Some of the herbs used in dyeing our yarns have medicinal properties- take our Turmeric dyed Yarn or the Haritaki (kadukkai) dyed colours like maize, these herbs are known for curing skin diseases and a lot of other ailments! We even have a Tulsi (holy Basil) dyed yarn!
And talk of Indigo, the most widely used dye, thanks to the blue jeans & possibly one of the oldest dyes! Indigo is being used for more than 4000 years to get the beautiful hues of blue!
Unlike the commercially used synthetic Indigo, our Indigo yarn is dyed using natural extracts from Indigo plant. Natural Indigo is a sustainable dye. After the dye pigment is extracted, the plant residue can be composted & used as a fertilizer & water reused to irrigate crops.
Gift from Mother Nature. Work with these yarns to make beautiful products & enjoy the essence of pure nature next to your skin.
