Ashford Jack loom- new addition to the studio!

At 39” weaving width and with 8 shafts & 10 treadles, it is a fantastic feel to sit on this elegantly designed Ashford Jack loom and weave. Large shed and smooth treadling!

Set up the loom for weaving a wall hanging with a nice 8 shaft design inspired by shadow weaves. Chose to go with variegated cotton knitting yarn 4ply ‘Bell peppers’ for the warp ‘jet black’ for the weft. Just couldn’t stop weaving. Finished weaving in a matter of hours. Time to take it off the loom & frame it!
