Young punch needle artist
We have this very talented youngster Ritu Sudarshan at our studio going around and trying her hand learning and making things by hand. Ritu chose to spend her summer holidays after her 10th standard board exam at Shuttles & Needles, interning with us. We usually take interns from design schools but never had a 10th grader interning with us. So, we were a little hesitant in the beginning when she informed us of her desire, but seeing her interest and determination, we decided to give it a go.
This multi-talented enthusiastic girl has already won awards in Quilting in the adult category at the tender age of 10 and she is not new to our studio as she has been visiting on and off exploring weaving and spinning. Recently for Sharon’s (our client service executive) birthday, Ritu baked a huge delicious brownie which we all lapped up!
During her first week with us, she did this lovely punch needle craft with our wool roving yarns. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
