The expanding wall at the Studio

An empty wall at the studio backyard… how can it be left alone?! We rolled our sleeves and decided to do something about it. Posed with a question ‘what Shuttles & Needles studio means to me’, each of us at the studio worked on a 12” x 12” canvas using fibres & yarns. Some did yarn string art, some wove, some felted, some crocheted, some did spin yarn by hand and knit the freshly spun yarn as it was being spun! 
 
The wall is now adorned with tiles of unique sensibilities. We have named it the ‘expanding wall’ for a reason… it can accommodate more tiles!
