Colourful crows' feet
Crow’s feet quietly walking across a green surface. Some moving in disciplined rows. Others drifting slightly away as though distracted midway through an important discussion.
Motifs often become more playful once colour enters them. A form that might otherwise remain geometric suddenly begins behaving like tiny living marks moving through the cloth.
This table runner was woven on a Rigid Heddle loom using mercerised cotton 5/2 for the ground warp and weft. The crow’s feet were woven using sport weight cotton knitting yarn through the medallion technique with a crochet hook as an aid for weaving.
