6th Anniversary celebrations at the studio

What better way to celebrate our anniversary than with fellow weaving enthusiasts? We hosted a ‘weave-along’ for about 3 hours at the studio. People brought their little looms to the studio. The theme was weaving medallions and its variations on Rigid heddle looms. It was nice to see people working on creating different kinds of motifs using this technique, inspiring one another. Simple weaving techniques like these are the true differentiators between hand-woven fabrics and industrial machine-woven ones, making the hand-made fabrics unique and special.
